Back To It!!

After a long (year?!) hiatus, I decided to start back up with my photo blog. I miss taking pictures and telling stories with them. I began today, taking pictures of my puppy Sunny, and the dog I am pet sitting, Fende. Sunny is a Bichon/Havanese mix, and Fende is a taco bell dog (since I don't know how to spell it). We were sitting outside and their cuteness was just overwhelming.

Sunny smiling for the camera :)

Such expressive eyes!!

I'm so happy to be taking pictures again, it makes me feel like a part of me is alive again!

Crafts for a Cure

My most recent project, as I almost always have one going on, is creating bracelets to raise money for the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF). I have posted this information on Facebook, but figured putting it on here as well will allow me to easily add pictures with donation information. I finally found ribbon metal charms with "HOPE" inscribed on them, as well as some really beautiful metal angel charms.

First batch of bracelets!

I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night....

But I'm too tired to party every day! Whew! What a long day! We spent most of the day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, we were there for almost SIX hours, just walking around all the exhibits. My dogs are definitly barking. The outside of the building is very cool...kind of how I imagined the building at the end of the divinci code, triangulair at the top with glass panes.
It was a very cool place with a lot to see. Tons of different artifacts and information, almost an overload of it in one day. But it was certainly worth seeing and I'm glad we did it. Afterwards, everyone needed a break, so we headed back to the hotel for a rest and I froze for a while in the highly air conditioned room. We drove around for a while to find a place for dinner, and found this place:
We had some yummy tacos, burritos, and other mexican food that satisfied my gluten-free diet. It's been tricky finding food on the road, and especially foods that fill me up! Now we are getting ready for bed and ready to move on to our next destination, Steubinville, Ohio, to check out a college for my sister. I have enjoyed Cleveland a lot though, and recommend a visit here.

Phew....long day! Up early and off to Niagra Falls...but only on the States side as we don't have passports. It was a short trip from Buffalo, but we were all happy to wave that city goodbye. It was a very, very hot day and the mist and the haze led to some less then desirable pictures. But I got some good ones anyways, including some from a crazy observation deck that extended out over the river.

It looked really scary but I impressed myself and went out on it to take some pictures:

After Niagra we had a 3 1/2 hour drive to Cleveland, Ohio, where we will be for two nights. We went to Iron Chef Michael Symon's restaurant "Lolita" for dinner. It was pretty delicious.

After dinner we were all stuffed so we drove around for about an hour, I got carsick, and we went back to the hotel. We are all wiped out and ready for bed...gonna be another busy day tomorrow. We are planning on going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tomorrow, which apparently takes about 3-4 hours to go through. Monday we head to Steubinville (sp?) Ohio to check out Franscican University, the college my younger sister wants to go to. It's a jam packed vacation, but so far so good!

Buffalo's have wings?

We are in Buffalo, NY tonight on our road trip....destination: Ohio. What to say about Buffalo....they have wings.

That's about it. Not to much more, except it's kinda scary if you're a timid little white girl who is afraid of being anywhere but your hometown. Not much to do, not much to see, but we will be off to Niagra Falls tomorrow morning for a few hours, where I am looking forward to taking some sweet pictures. Then its 200 miles to Cleveland, where we are staying for 2 nights. It's definitely going to be an interesting trip...

Back from Camp Sunshine today....man, I wish I never had to leave there!
